Five years ago I went to Cuba, I was 22 stone plus and had to squeeze myself into a minuscule Thomas Cook airplane seat, I was wedged in so tightly I arrived at Cuba seriously bruised after a ten hour flight, I took a sleeping pill to get through the flight. I refused to fly again because of how bad it was...well until two weeks ago, this time I was 11 stones 4 pounds and had loads of room, in fact the whole holiday was incredible this time round, snorkelling swimming with dolphins and kayaking, I'm so incredibly thankful for being given another chance at life.

Room to manoeuvre, looking good :)

We are the same height and started at the same weight I hope I can do as well as you :)

Looking good. Got a long flight coming up in a couple of weeks and excited as there will be no extenders, and hopefully the tray will come all the way down. X

Love it xx

Well done you!

I flew back from Mexico a few months back and it was a similar story for me too. I said to my OH at the time, I can't fly anymore, this will be the last holiday we have for a long time, I don't want to put myself through this anymore. And now, weeks later, I'm doing something about it and I'm having a sleeve! Will hopefully be flying again soon in a comfortable, no pain position! Can't wait to sit in the seat and not worry if the belt is going to go round me. x

Thank you, of course you will. It's just a matter of time, I've got around 6 lbs to lose, or maybe a stone, I said 10 1/2 stone because I've got quite a bit of loose skin I reckon about a stones worth. I guess my body will tell me when it's ready to stop losing.

You'll have a great time, I used to dread the flight but it's actually fun when you're not stressing about fitting into the seat and my tray came fully down even over my crossed legs (which I can't stop doing) Have a great holiday Lippy xx

Aww thank you so much xx
You look amazing, well done.
Thank you xx

Thank you!!You'll have a fantastic next holiday, I hadn't realised how much of the experience is spoiled by worrying about whether you'll fit, or what the flight attendant will think if you eat the food, or if you're encroaching on the person next to yous seat. Let alone actually getting somewhere hot and how uncomfortable you'll feel. Good luck with your sleeve you'll be a new woman next year and wonder why it took so long for you to do it ha x Thank you everyone for your kind comments xx

Fantastic!! These milestones make it soooo worthwhile don't they :) Well Done x

Great!!!!

One of the reasons i avoid going to visit my family back home.. Even missed funerals of both my grandfathers.. Just because i was feeling too fat to fly... Too fat to face the relatives... Only big people will understand all these simple but yet stressfull situations.

Hope one day i will be able to have a similar picture. :)

Well done x
It's these little things that make surgery worth while, just glanced at some of your pics and you look fantastic.
