Newsflash!! Got my surgery date woo hoo!!!!!

Just got off the phone from homerton hospital ive been told my WLS op is to happen on sept 18 !!!

I cant tell you all how HAPPY I am
I have to visit the team and the surgeon aug 15 to give me my diet plan for the next 4 weeks after this meeting then on the operation table I get
other than telling the one sister who has been with me all the way from day one your the only other people who now this news

Hi Guys, well done for getting your surgery date.

I wanted to know those of you attending Homerton, how long did you have to wait before getting your surgery date after GP referral? Also did you loose the required 5-10% beforehand, I understand Homerton would like patients to lose weight before proceeding with surgery.

Really interested to know.

after much thinking it over talking to people on here talking to friends who have had WLS I think the bypass is the one for me that's my choice I was asked to pick one but I guess the surgeon has the final say

I would love to attend ! I will see what I can do but no promises what time does it start?
re who is doing my op, when I last went to homerton I meet I think a Greek/Turkish surgeon I forget her name I was told today it would be the same person
all I know is I will get a call the week before then I come in at 7 am on the day
since getting the news I keep looking at clothes saying to myself "I want that ,I want that in this size" its making me dizzy!i just want to buy new clothes stock up on mini tubaware make soft foods and fill my fridge with SF jelly!
