Week one: lost 5.5 lb and 16 cm

Week two: lost 3lb and 8cm

I know I've not been drinking enough liquids and my body is holding on to what little water Im putting into it, so will be working hard to correct that. If anyone has any tips ill be happy to hear them! Although I'm a little dissaponted to only have lost 3lb this week, I get that my body has had a lot to deal with and is playing catch up, and after all a loss is a loss :) Also I'm aware i need to increase my activity level. Planning on going swimming tomorrow and try to go 3 times a week.

Hope everyone else is doing well x

Thanks Smallerme, I feel it should be a lot more but I guess I need to get it into my head that this isn't going to drop off overnight. And after all a loss is a loss! X

I agree about the water it really helps I am a big girl(look at my stats) and Im happy that my weight is going well
But I don't see if your a bander or what? and how long ago did you have the Op?

Hi val,

I had the bypass done 2 weeks last monday, down 8lb in two weeks so i really can't complain. I'm really struggling with my fluid intake at the moment,I just forget to drink! Even if I have a glass of water/milk/juice by me all the time. I know that if I don't drink enough then my body will hold on to what little i am putting in... 'Must try harder!'

Week 3: lost 3lb and 7cm.

Still struggling with drinking enough, plus ive been feeling poorly and not eating much.....

Week four : lost just under half a pound, feeling distraught and lost!

Week five: woo hoo lost 4lb, sooo makes up for LSAT week im guessing my body just was having a moment!

Week six: lost 1lb... Oh no not again! And I have my period!!

Week seven: lost 3lb, still have my period!

Ok in seven weeks ive lost 20lb, overall an excellent achievement. It really helps to hear that others have stalled. I guess after overheating/binging for so long its taking my body a little bit of time to re-adjust. I've gone from a size 20 to a size 16... And the 16 is starting to feel loose! Wont be long till Im in a 14... Honestly cant remember the last time i was a size 14!!!!

I am so grateful for all your support and to my GP who has helped me along the way, yes there are a lot of sacrifices but everyone of them have been worth it! Im loving my new life, and im only just at e start of it :D

Week 8: 4lb loss... 24lb in 8 weeks, im so excited!! I don't see a difference when I look in the mirror, I still see a million imperfections... But im sure the more work i do on my self image the better ill begin to feel about myself. The only thing bothering me is that I still have my period and although it seams to be slowing down thats 16 days its been going on for... Please tell me this sorts itself out soon!!

Well done! X

Thanks Jane... Im only 4lb away from half way... Im so pleased i had the surgery. It's abit step but im finally on the path I should be.

You are doing so well xx :)

Had mine the 29/10/13 feeling good, I am still on enriched soup etc. You have done amazing, I drink lots but am a little fed up of marmite and low cal juices as I do not drink coffee or tea, I have glasses of milk in between my three meals as directed by my specialist I do not know if that is a universal thing as all the Drs appear to have slightly different approaches. Any way well done you.

well done you! 24 lbs is nearly a suitcase full of clothes isn't it, now we all know how heavy that is to lug around!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement, there's still a long road ahead, but so far I couldn't be happier with the results so far. Yes there has been a lot of trial and error and im sure im still on a learning curve!

Good luck and hope your journey is progressing well x

Week 9: lost 3lb and a total of 10cm. For the first time in as long as I can remember i can get into a size 14!!!

So ok, not the biggest weight loss but getting into a 14 again is a major achievement! Im only 5ft2" and I started off at a size 20, my goal is a size 10 and right now that feels not only achievable but within touching distance. Im so proud of how far I've come.

Week 10: lost 1/2 a pound... WTF!! After the jubilation of last week this is a major let down, but I need to remind myself that stalls are inevitable and I need to keep going to achieve my goal. I've also started carting my gym kit when im away to make sure i start going more.

Week 11: lost 4lb and 4cm, thats more like it! The extra gym time is paying off :) feeling motivated again.

Week 12: lost 3lb and 6cm the 14 tops are startling to feel a little big, think ill need to do some sale shopping soon :)
