Knickers kept during surgury ?

Strange question I know, But I feel a little shy :ashamed0005: about showing my private bits to complete strangers! and I know they have seen it all before but that dont make me feel any better about it.

Did they let you leave ur knickers on or were they taken off ?

Knickers can be worn down to the theatre, they are usually paper ones, but sometimes hospitals will allow you to wear your own. They are taken off during the actual surgery but you will find that when you wake up, they are often back on.

Hi Kelly don't know if its any different for banders or bypassers cause when I put my gown on for my bypass I just left my knickers off and so did all the other patients cause when I woke up I had a catheter (sorry about the spelling) fitted but don't worry they have definately seen it all before, take care

I was told not to, and awoke with catheter

And yes me too that was chief among my worrys!

mine were kept on. i imagine they didnt have a crane or extra staff to remove them. lol

i never wore mine but had to explain to 3 different theatre staff that i had an intimate peircing as i didnt want it removed lol

omg i never thought of that mind ou after 4 pregnances it shouldnt bother me cause my bits have been on show so often but i want to keep mine on 2if i looked like posh i wouldnt mind

partly for that if you need one and also for hygiene reasons in theatre i was told.

I bet the frigging paper ones will not fit on my BIG fat bum I`ll have to wear a big nappy and then they only have to open it with the tabs

marg to be honest its best just to wear the gowns provided as all they do is whip that off once your asleep and cover you with the blue sheet thing, its easier all round both for the patient and the surgical team trying to remove them once the patient is asleep xxx

I'm guessing you're pretty much naked when they do the op then??? Guessing you don't wear a bra or anything!?!?
