metformin

Why are the putting you on it, is it for diabetes?

Is anyone taking metformin? X

I was on metformin for 2 yrs for diabetes before my bypass it did give me stomach ache at first but settled down i was never sick with it though, there is a slow release form of this tablet which you can take it is easier to tolerate on the stomach :)

I'm due to start on 500mg tomorrow but iv been warned it can make you feel sick, does it?

I think i used to have some acid or just stomach discomfort when i started. But it went away after a few weeks.

I am post op still take metformin 2x a day and i am fine.

I'v not got diabetes but my recent bloods came back with one marker slightly over the normal amount so my consultant wants me to try it because he thinks it'll help with my weight loss.

I had it to help with my PCOS too

According to the Dr I don't have pcos or diabetes he's asked me to take the pills because he thinks theyll help me lose weight.

I'm on the slow release version as the first one prescribed made me ill.

I had metformin a couple of years ago as the docs like to prescribe this as it does help with weight loss, I couldn't handle it myself tho as it didn't agree with me.
