M paying for my wls privately. Does this mean the NHS won't help if I have massively loose over hanging skin? Xx

Probably not. Saying that they hardly help people who have had their surgery on the NHS. They turned me down.

Problem is, every ccg has its own eligibility criteria, so it's different all across they UK.

Ive already that I would not get any cosmtic surgery for any loose skin I will have but at this stage im not worried about it im prepared for the already saggy belly but who those how I may feel in a year's time when its even more flabby !

I said that too, but excess skin makes me sweat constantly. That is more of a problem than the skin. It's affecting all aspects of daily life.

That's exactly it. It's the exercising infection sores etc not so much the cosmetic. But I don't want to loose the weight and be unwell or unable to exercise because of it. Hence why arms etc I'd put up with. But stomach can be a horribly uncomfortable area for excess skin :(

Well I guess I'll have to wait and see! Xx

I've been told that to fit the criteria I need to be able to show 18 months of where I've had infections under the loose skin, I've been given antibiotics and they didn't work. 18 months!! Tbh I just get home from the gym and wash loads- I'd never let it get to the infection stage!
Also the Dorset CCB don't take psychological issues into account.
