Scars and such!

Hey all!

Wasn't too sure where to post this...so had my band and all is good, looking for recommendations to minimise the appearance of the scars...the main one is one of like to reduce look of...I know it will always be there and I'm happy as reminder of my hard work but still quite obvious and wondered if anyone post op had success in reducing the redness etc?

I have scar on my knee from surgery around 7 years ago and it's translucent so think this one will go the same but any sooner is a bonus, as no one is aware of my surgery, less likely to get asked questions if someone sees it!

Also in future, after paid off my band...considering surgery for tummy and boobs as think they will dip as had so much to lose...what are the average costs and are these things best done separately?

Xxx

Hi sharon...compared to my scarred legs my stomach is nothing!! Remind me to show you them in Vegas!! Im sure they will fade over time, mine are still quite pink, well three are, the two little ones have just about vanished. My scars turn white, probably to do with my brown skin as they dont have the pigment anymore. Im just letting mine do whatever, i rub body shop body butter all over ever day anyway.

I had thought i might get a boob job but having had the worst reaction to the general anaesthetic ever theres no chance i am ever having elective surgery again!!!! I will rely on the wonder bra!!! My boobs have now gone to a 36C but i think they will be B very soon...gutted...
Everything else seems to have stayed put fairly well, my bums fine, ive always had a fat bum!

I think a boob job is around 4k but if you need them lifting or any work on them like that it adds a few more grand. Obviously it depend where you live but that was the price I worked out when I looked out of interest. The Hospital group seem popular for cosmetic surgery. For me I would have gone back to my private hospital and seen a consultant there.

If you worry about droopy bits cellophane is a great wrap! Holds it all in and you sweat pounds off!!!

Sorry just come across this try bio oil I'm really pale and my scars go pink but that really helps!! The bit about cellophane creased me up was so funny ha ha ha ha ha ha! Who needs Bridget Jones lol xxxxxxxxx

Thanks Karina and Claudia!

I will try the bio oil, just to start sooner than later!! :)

Surgery would be a few years away but just incase I need something good get Idea of prices!!

Karina, you crack me up, cellophane! Hopefully it won't come to that!!! :)

Looking forward to comparing war wounds..my knee isn't bad, think with not colour on my legs that scar be less noticeable!!

I'm not bothered about scars to be fair, as a child I had several incidents which left my legs looking like they had gone through a tree bark chipper!!! People stare at them but I'm not bothered...at least they don't notice my cellulite!!!!

This is what happens when a Spanish doctor stitches you up in the 1980's!! Think it's beyond bio oil...
