well after just getting over a bad case of cellulitiss in both feet, my skin on my feet keeps comming off in big sheets, i have never seen nothing like it

to top it all i have been taking my warter tablets but my legs are so hard and swollen and red i am sooo pi...ed off with this but most of all worried i am sitting with my legs elevated and these support stocking i have got are not very supportive, i think i need a stronger tog.

i am going to try and get an appointment with my doctor on mon, but i am toying with the idea of going the walk in center tommorrow or talking to nhs direct as i am worried as i find it hard to walk as it is so now its even more difficult

just when i think things are looking up with getting my funding, i dont want when its time to see the surgon that he says no because of the swelling in my legs

May 2009 Re-joined WW. 26st 5lbs, BMI 61.
Apr 2010 Lost an average 1lb per week, reached 22st 2lbs, BMI 52, then yo-yo’d and plateaued for 15 months until
Jul 2011 22st 2lbs. First visit to GP, requesting help. Blood tests (everything normal), Local health trainer for weight management.
Aug 2011 GP agreed to apply to PCT for funding for bariatric surgery, as all criteria met. (now BMI 51 – just scraped in!) Weightloss back on track.
Aug 2011 Northants PCT says YES (pending surgeon recommendation)! Referred to Mr Kumar at Heartlands, Birmingham.
Oct 2011 Consultation with Surgeon & Dietician. 21stone, BMI 49. Surgeon says YES! Decide on band. Funding confirmed and put on waiting list.
Oct 2011 20st 7lbs, total 82lbs, BMI 48
10 Nov 2011 - Pre-op diet started
22 Nov 2011 - Banding date - by Mr Super
Weight on op day = 20st 1lb (281lbs)
Total pre-op weight loss = 6st 4lbs (88lbs)
18 Dec 2011 - 100lbs weight loss achieved.
1 Feb 2012 - 1st fill - 5mls in a 10ml band. Liquids for 7 days.
4 Feb 2012 - Over 50% weight loss achieved. BMI = 43.
Total post-op weight loss = 2st 0lbs (28lbs)
Current overall weight loss = 8st 4lbs (116lbs)

Go to the walk in centre , you need antibiotics & the sooner the better hun , take care & keep the legs up xx

hi caron my legs are still swollen due to excess warter retention, but also i have put 12 pounds on due to this water retention and i am fed up with it, as you will prob know with warter retention every thing on your body goes solid so its difficult to move, thanks for asking love. and hows your self.? xxxx

Have you had a medical opinion on that, Lynda or are you assuming it is water. I would get it checked as it it is anything else you could be getting treatment.

no twinkle i know i am stupid to not have but i am assuming it is warter ,i think i will go the doc cos to put 12 pound on in 4 days is not normal that and with my legs swelling is why i thought it was warter retention.
