Post-op Gastric Bypass
Final supper tonight

I've decided to go out for a 3 course meal tonight as I will be starting my official journey tomorrow on the pre op diet for 5 wks which will lead straight up to my op on the 9th Sept.
I am so excited and nervous and really looking forward to taking control of food and not allowing it to control me!
I will be doing the milk diet as attached.

Good luck to all embarking on your journey :)

Enjoy your last supper (I didn't have one as I got a call in the afternoon telling me to start my pre-op that morning!!).

You've a hell of a long pre-op diet there. Hang on in there please. It REALLY is worth all the hunger pains and struggles. It won't be easy but you CAN do it.

Keep coming on here and reading what a difference it's made to people's lives. Find an online small clothes range you want to wear.

Looking forward to hearing of all those pounds coming off xx

Thanks guys I know it's going to be hard - I'm gonna be a miserable cow for 3-4 days. Once I'm in the zone I won't be too bad, I did Cambridge for over 6 months and found that really easy once I was in ketosis so am hoping it will be the same with this.
I would be embarrassed and ashamed if my op didn't go ahead because of me so I think I'll be ok but expect a lot of moaning lol xxx

Enjoy your meal, as lincs lass say,s , it really is worth it, if you are struggling, come on line, while you are doing that you won,t be eating something you shouldn't,!!
I,m 1 week post op and feel great.

Fantastic attitude you have hun, you can do it, like you say once ketosis kicks in you will be fine. It took five days for me and then I felt good. Good luck :) x

Yes I will! You'll be sick of me by the end of the week, either that or I will be hiding in bed for the first few days! I have Monday and Tuesday off work, I found day 2 the hardest for me on Cambridge so I think I'll be having early nights with my kindle and maybe a sleeping tablet! Soon be Friday! Lol x

Enjoy your last meal! I never got one as the day I had my consultation I booked my op and was straight into 5 weeks pre-op diet.

Weirdly I found milk and yogurt much easier than calorie counting, mostly because I didn't have to think about it. I have one more day to go, and I've a feeling it will be a LONG time before I fancy a yogurt again!

Good luck x

Enjoy your last meal ;), I've had two of them now.

The first was uninspired and I can still eat some of what I had, but they no longer need a wheelbarrow to bring it in :8855:

The second was truly disappointing of how I remembered a taste and it now meant nothing to me.

Enjoy and savour every last mouthful as tomorrow your new life begins :D

Thank you :)

I've decided on Frankie and Benny's as their dessert selection is good (just looked on website) and I know it's the sweet things I'll miss most x

Snap I have had my last supper tonight too, and the milk begings in the morning, but I only have to do it for a week so I think I am lucky, 5 weeks of it sounds difficult, good luck

Mine was fish and chips at our local restaurant. Was going to have a curry but reckoned that I might not be able to do battered fish and chips again once bypassed so plumped for that instead... Enjoyed every bit of it too :)
Good luck with your pre op it will be well worth it in the end .. Least that's what I keep telling myself and I have only have a two weeks one.x

Headache and feeling tired already :(

Have come to bed to try and sleep through feeling miserable.

Day 1 - half way done

The last day before I start at the milk diet, I was at a friends... White chocolate, a big Sunday roast plus pudding... The lot. Loll good luck with your journey. You can do the pre-op diet, just think of the end goal and remember the fear of waking up and them not being able to do the op. That fear kept me very alert.

Thank you for posting you pre-op milk diet thing..........I put a message on here asking about the diet and now I know.

Good luck with everything hope all goes well
