This is it guys!!!

:) :)

Started my pre op milk and yogurt diet on Sunday and couple of days early. I had to get into the zone as I was out of control. I was acting like it was the end of the world and I was having funeral dinners and meals out and well it had to stop!!!

So, two days in and twenty one days to go. So far, I am okay during the day and then my hunger catches up in the evening and I feel hank marvin. Last night, I went out for a walk with the dog and the hunger passed. I think distraction is the key as I am doing this and that's that. Also, I am feeling a bit headachy - nothing that paracetamol can't fix though. Fortunately, I am drinking lots and lots of water as its scorchio!!!

I have done the Cambridge diet before so I know I can ace this!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

thank you so much. I must admit I am finding it so hard. I feel so nauseated and I've got a permanent headache. I am hoping it will pass. On the upside though, I am drinking lots of water in this heat so that's a boom!!

Yes please - keep my seat on the losers bench. Hoping to be a nice sexy dress for Christmas!! :)

This is one of the hardest parts you are cutting down drastically with no tool in place to help you. But you will lose a tone of weight pre op xxx

Well today has been positive!! I've been to have my acrylics soaked off in readiness for my op. It feels so weird because I've had them for so many years. Finding it hard to type and text. I have had them removed early because I think it would be a good opportunity to give my own nails a rest. Hopefully I can have a new set post op. That will be something to look forward to :)

Also got a few bits to take in hospital. Mainly PJ's, water bottle, knickers and a few toiletries.

I just wish I didn't feel so nauseated on the yogurt and milk. I also feel dehydrated even though I'm drinking for England!.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone!!

Hi violet angel
You are doing so well - when is your op date? I'm doing a slim n save shake diet a few days before I start the slim fast pre op to get me in the right frame of mind.

Hi

All the best on your journey, and doing the milk diet.

I did this, have you tried the no sugar jellys and made them with your milk allowance for a change.

I didn't have many, as wasn't that keen on the jelly.

Hi Hun :)

Thanks for your encouragement!!!

My op is on the 23rd of this month, although I am going into hospital the night before on the 22nd.

I started my pre op diet a couple of days early as well on Sunday. Like you, I just wanted to get prepared as soon as possible. I must admit I am not finding it easy. I feel nauseated and find it hard to eat the yogurts and drink the milk. I have tried to blend the yogurts with the milk and ice but it still makes me retch. I have tried different flavours as well.

I will give it until next week and then I may have to ring my team and see if they want to vary it.

Good luck with your journey Hun. Let me know how it all goes!!

:)

Thank you so much chick!!!

Did the milk and yogurt make you feel sick? I also have a permanent headache.

I didn't know about the jelly. I will ask my team if I can have it.

Enjoy the weather :)

My op is 6th August - at the beginning of my 3 weeks annual leave so perfect timing - am glad it's going to be in this kind of weather, as I think you eat less in the heat. And by the time winter comes around and I'm tempted by comfort food like stew and dumplings, I should be well used to portion size and enjoying what I do eat a lot more.

I've just read Paul mckenna's hypnotic gastric band and will try and give the four golden rules a go when I do get back to eating proper food. Little steps and all.

Where a outs are you violet? And where are you having op done? I'm in Essex and at the homerton

Hi Twothirdsamidwife

Not long after mine then Hun. It will be here before you know it.

I have read a Paul McKenna book and listened to his cd's. They do work if you put it to use. I did the tapping exercises and was well impressed. It would be a great technique to use post op. A good book to read is the Ultimate Gastric Sleeve success. I've just read it and sent it to by friend. It's very inspirational and makes a lot of sense.

I live in Malvern near Worcestershire and I am having my sleeve at Worcester Royal. So far they've been very good and the team is excellent.

Keep up the good work!!

Little update :)

I spoke to my team yesterday about the milk and yogurt pre op diet making me feel nauseated and headachy. They told me to try the meal replacement option which I have started. If this doesn't work, then they are going to give me a high protein low carb diet so fingers crossed!!!

Today, I have had one pre prepared Slimfast shake and so far so good :).

Counting the days off the calendar - can't believe I'm saying this but bring on the op!!!

Have a good day everyone :)

Hopefully the meal replacement works as I find the low carb meals really difficult as the portions are soooo small

I know what you mean about being on the op, I am counting the days on a calendar.

:( difficult times!!

I feel really sooooo bloody hungry and irritable!!!! I am having to distract myself and keep busy which is difficult as my energy levels are low.

Today felt so strange not having my usual Sunday dinner.

On the positive side though, I have been on the pre op diet a week now and been really good :)

Ticking the days off the calendar now and my op day can't come soon enough now.

Keep telling myself to keep going!!

Have a good evening everyone xx

Hi Lisa I'm back lol and so pleased and proud to see you've started a diary and are doing well. Bear with the pre op diet it will b worth it. And let your team guide you. Sounds like you've got it all under control. I'm still waiting for September 25th to come around.

Kirsty xx
