Gastric Bypass - Pro's & Cons

Hi All,

Hoping you can help... I'm a bander, I've had pouch diletion and was operated on in Nov last year, where it was unbuckled, put weight back on, then rebuckled in April and now it may have a leak, thinking that if have to go through a third operation that I would like to go down the bypass route but want to know honestly the pro's and cons.. well mostly the cons...??? Please help?

My surgeon said that I had a 60% change of having diletion again, and now with the possible leak, I think I'm at the end of the road with the band!

Hi sorry I can't help but "Just Liz" might be the best person to speak to she has had 2 failed bands and is now going to have a bypass

It wont be much help this, but my team told me, that 50% of banders wish they had had a bypass, but she has yet to meet a bypasser that wishes they had had a band.
