I know it sounds boring but water. Fluids will help get things going, when you cut back the body holds on to things for longer to get all the nutrients and in the meantime it absorbs all the moisture in it. So by drinking little and often it will help!!

Dulcolax or senokot are fine on the LRD.

prunes... use it as one of your fruits that you can have on the liver reducing diet...works a treat...or senna xx

I agree with all of the above...
give 'em all a go but....
VLCD/LRdiet can make you VERY constipated & even impacted....
so be pro-active is my personal advice-PM me if you need more advice

Was recommended Fybogel which works great, btu not sure if it'll be ok with your diet plan too. Maybe check with your dietician? Hope you feel better soon!

Hi Dave,

You should be having about 68 fluid ounces a day, more if you can manage it. Being well hydrated before and after surgery is vitally important for your well being. I was dehydrated and needed to be re-admitted a week after my surgery. I havent looked back since. My advice............... DRINK.............DRINK.....DRINK............. only water though!!! LOL. Good luck for your op, see you on the loosers bench. :D x
