Hi Guys

So i've been on the Milk diet now for a week and can honestly say it's been better than i thought...The worst days for me was 4&5.I had to go upstairs when the Tea was doing as i was virtually dribbling lol but it soon passed thankfully.

I have NEVER been without food for a week and i'm amazed by that to be honest...The end result is all i'm thinking about so i'm staying positive and keeping smiling.

I have another 3 weeks to go before i find out if i've lost the required 5% weight that Luton & Dunstable need so i can then get my appointment with the Surgeon...and another step closer to my dream.

I'll do an update every week just to let you know how it's going,and to share my story with anyone that's on the Milk diet.

Sounds like you are doing well Andy , don't know that I could do it for 4 weeks . Is it like Cambridge that you go into ketosis & therefore don't get hungry ?
Keep at it hun , will be so worth it

Well done you for having stuck to your milk diet. I'm sure you'll do great and get to your target.
I'm on day 3 of my slimfast diet and have 3 weeks and 4 days to go. And as with you I'm holding on for the end result.

Yes they like you to mantain after the milk diet...Someone said that it was 1000 calories a day. It makes sense especially as it gets nearer to the Operation thus making it easier and safer for the Surgeon to do his job better

Weighed at Weight Management clinic 12th April 2011: Thought I was 26st 13.5lbs(171.3kg) turns out I was 27 st 6.5lbs, as scales were out.
July 27th 2011: Sleep test (no sleep apnea)
24th Dec 2011: Funding Confirmation!!!
2nd Mar: Op date given, pre op started(On my old scales, so not sure of true weight. Gained some timber in stress time)

Well done Andy!
I have just gone back on the milk diet for my pre-op so am joining you with my 4 pints a day .

I read somewhere that someone described the 4 weeks as

week 1 - Hard going
week 2&3 - So much easier, not really hungry, get used to not eating food.
Week 4 - starting to get bored but not long to go.

This was definitely my experience so hopefully you are now over the worst and it gets easier from here on in .

ive been on mind for 10days now i still have 2 weeks left till my opp the first 5 days where reallly hard now its fine just want the next 14 days to hurry up and pass so i can get this show on the road and start lossing even more weight ive lost 12lb in 10 days so thats a start lol xwell done andy x

well done Andy, am on slim fast diet 8 day. The 2nd day was the hardest for me but I feel much better now, am going toilet a lot too lol xx
