Hello all

Not sure if people remember me, i had a band 2011, recieved ALOT of support from you guys lost 5 stones originally. Then i went from private to NHS aftercare, i couldnt get to grips with not having a tight band, and the father of my child left me , i never really addressed my emotional eating disorder too, im a bit of a binger tbh. Old habbits slipped in with unhappiness and depression, basically now 3 stone heavier than when i had the band in. Currently just under 21 stones.

So single mum, and full time social work student is giving it a bash again looking for the same support. U guys r amazing!!

Bypass booked using all my student finance and money i cant afford to get this opp done. Been through NHS they will remove band but wont do bypass unless i do a individual funding request, which they wont ive tried. So never mind, its just paper if i manage to get healthy and happy for me and my boy, its worth more than gold in my opinion.

Very very very very scarred tho and unsure, been tooing and frowing between bypass/sleeve, still not really sure, just want to get on with it asap tbh. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Im also only 26 years old, and already at revision stage cant wait to have this band out tho, constant acid, shooting pains in my port. deffo had enough.

Booked for 28th April, with The Hospital Group, Leeds Nuffield, under Mr James Halstead

bring it on xxx

Becky good luck he did mine and he is fantastic! I had mine 3 years ago and fingers crossed I am having tummy tuck, breast uplift and implants in next 4 weeks xxxx

wow Lynn, can i ask what weight you were to begin with, and now?? how was your weight loss jouney, wishing you all the success in the world for the uplift, i know ill be down that route when the weight is of so excited x

Wishing you good luck hunni, I too self funded and agree its worth MY weight in gold :) I am half the woman I once was and I am loving life.

I am a revision six weeks post op, I have lost 2st to 12.5st. I would say that if you have acid now (I had severe band induced acid) the sleeve often makes it worse

Hi

I had a band (well 2 in-fact) via hospital group and it was removed via nhs 18 months ago. I have having a sleeve tomorrow !!!!! Very scared but I have gain 4 stone since band was removed.

Xxx

Hi Bekki I was just short of 20 stone before my bypass and I currently weigh 11 1/2 stone and have done now for some time and I am happy at this weight:). Xx

Goodluck, i was planning the band too but was told they don't perform them much as they believe the bypass is more useful for now and the future.

Wondering How you got on yummymuumy2015. I see you op was a few days ago. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
