My surgeon agrees with you fully ,he says its so frustrating because when you lose weight it will cost nhs less in the long run too

Well today is a new day and to battle I go first pals to put a complaint in then my local councillor then a letter to my mp and health secretary they won't know what's hit them thanks for all your kind support

Good Luck Mark, I hope you get the help you need. I agree with you, the NHS treat overweight people like morons, they do not understand that it is out of our control, we have to eat to live, its not like you can go cold turkey and not eat.

Well stayed cool on the phone spoke to a really nice lady from pals at Rotherham trust explained fully my history and why I should be put forward she said she is going to find more about why it was turned down and said would get back to me felt she is going to look into it she also said she will help me try to reverse the decision
She said often all the ticks have to be met and that's how it works she said your one tick away so let's sort it out
Feel a little better now
Will keep you all upto date and thankyou for all your support it's great to have someone who really understands

Then a lot of mess up and hassle!
Weighed at Weight Management clinic 12th April 2011: Thought I was 26st 13.5lbs(171.3kg) turns out I was 27 st 6.5lbs, as scales were out.
July 27th 2011: Sleep test (no sleep apnea)
24th Dec 2011: Funding Confirmation!!!
2nd Mar: Op date given, pre op started(On my old scales, so not sure of true weight. Gained some timber in stress time)
30/03/2012 OP date!!! 138.8 kg
02/04/2012 discharge 141.4 kg
06/04/2012 week 1 135.5 kg
28/04/2012 131.85kg
05/05/2012 129.65kg (20st 5.45 lbs / 285.45 lbs)

Best of luck Mark. Hopefully you'll get what you need and deserve with the backing of everyone.
I fought hard and got my funding eventually so the fight IS worth all the hurdles they throw at you.
