Hiya

I have been ill on and off for 4 weeks, now, started with bad gastric tummy and reflux, then diorhea and stomach ache, went to doc and said must be a bug, but week later still never felt well, then got abit better last week but the rumbles and wind when i eat make me bloated, doc gave me different reflux tablets, but these have not made any difference, I went for check up at the hospital but only spoke to me said diorhea is completely natural and when i eat makes to food in me come out thats why get tummy pain after eating. Today had bloated tum and now diorhea like water, just feel so fed up x

Hi bex
Sorry yo hear your feeling so crap, would it be ok to take something gentle for the diarrhea just to bind you up a bit.
I know from experience how awful it makes you feel. If it does'nt go away in the next few days i think you should ask for a blood and stool test to get to the bottom of it.
Hope you get it sorted
Kim

Hun give you team another call xx big hugs hun xx

Oh, sorry to hear this Bex. Did I read right that the hospital think it's the kind of food you're eating? I'm the 'other' way and would like to eat something that travels quickly through my system. Why don't you post a typical days food so everyone can have a look and see if they can spot any foods that have given them diarrhoea too?

Sorry to hear you are so under par Bex... it can be really draining when it goes on for so long. Talk to your team, they may be able to advice what might help. I hope you soon get this sorted xxx

Hope you get it sorted soon hun xxxx

When I was at the end of my tether with the problems I had with my band I emailed Prof Ammori. He was fantastic and emailed me back within an hour. Have you thought of that?

Aww Becky, honey :wave_cry: I wondered where your sunny little face had gone :wave_cry: I can't really help with your problems as I haven't experienced it, but am sending you lots of hugs & good wishes for a recovery very soon. I am sure someone will be along to advise you soon, chicken xxx :)

Has anyone suggested that you could have developed either a lactose or gluten intolerance? It's certainatly worth ruling out.

I hope you feel better soon.

I think this time mite be a bug as 5 of my mates have got it too but I have not had the sickness! I try to eat normal, breakfast rice crispies and lunch crisp bread or crackers with cheese or chicken salad, tea last night was stew! Have gone onto soya milk to see igf that helps so will see! Maybe after this bug will feel better, thanks for all the advice and help xxxx

some people become lactose intolerant after surgery so could be a good idea on soya :) my daughter is allergic to milk and has soya yoghurts as well and you get them from health food shops i'm nmot sure if they are in supermarket xx hope you feel better soon :)

Hi angie,

You can get loads of lactose free products in supermarkets these days. Obviously there is the alprosoya stuff. There is also vitalite marg which is lactose free and actually tastes good! There is also a product range called lactofree which do milk, cheese and yoghurts.

Cheaper than health food shops anyhow.

Julie xx
