Hi

Just wondering how everyone felt after surgery for visitors?
OR the policy after surgery ?!

I will be a BMI Rosshall - if anyone has some personal experiance there?

My daughter who is 7 is very close to me and i know will be wanting to see me as soon as possible but im not overly sure how good an idea this may be !?

Sorry this seems like a totally bizarre question just ive got so much going through my head esp when it comes to my wee one !

x:eek:

Hi
You will be quite groggy on the day if the surgery, depending on the time you are taken down you may or may not want visitors. It is probably best go ask your surgeon. Also worth noting you may of may not have drains in so have a think out your wee one re that. Past experience tells me kids are actually good at this stuff, worse not knowing like all of us. They would rather see you than let their wee imaginations run wild. This is just my opinion of couse, if you tell them you are having surgery they will want to see you. So e other option is not to tell them ;)

They are very good at Ross Hall, I have had stays there a couple of times but not for WLS. Have go to Belgium for that :)

Good luck

Hi Chrissy!

My wee one is a bit too savvy for being 7 lol !
Ill leave it till nearer the time and judge then .
As you said wee ones tend to deal with things better than mosty adults lolol !

Ive heard lots of great things about rosshall ! so here's hoping ! :) :)

All the best with it, wee bit jealous tbh. RH is only 10 mins away from me. I went with my surgeon because I used him for my band. I had waited 2 years back then to even get on weight management services at Glasgow. My quality of life was poor, I was facing other ops and was miserable. Had. To. Be. Done.

I saw a surgeon at the Southern General last month with a view to getting my aftercare for the band on the NHS, a lovely guy and said he would try and help but I heard nothing back. He also said it was disgusting how few WLS were done in Scotland. Anyways since then I decided to go for a revision. That appointment alone was requested by my GP in August and I am the wrong side of 60 to be waiting for the SHS to get it's bahookie in gear :D

i am sure you will be well looked after in Ross Hall, shame you probably will not get to try the food much, lol the chef is very good.

Good luck and roll on June for me.

Chrissy
