The great band journey

Hello
I thought I would start my own diary rather than taking over others.
So I guess I start with about me...
I'm in my mid thirties, I have 3 children 2 of them are diagnosed with special needs, the third is currently under assessment.
I was always tiny at school, in height as well as weight, it was until I started to work in retail at 16 that I found my love of fast food ? by 19 I was a 14 which for me was large as I'd been a size 6 at 16!
Then I met my hubby, and we both enjoyed our food, we went out a couple of times a week and I could manage the same portions as him!
Along came the kids and lots more weight... At my biggest I was a 22
I did manage to lose it in 2010 and got myself to a size 6/8 and felt so much better, but slowly it went back on... Then I had an accident and was laid up for 6 weeks, I'm still suffering with my ankle and the weight has piled back on,
I'm now at my heaviest... But weirdly not my largest clothes size I'm an 18.
To me this surgery is there to help me stop the weight creeping back on once I've lost it. I'm willing to work hard, but hopefully the band will just change my mindset. At a huge cost to me I can't let it fail!
So I started my LSD on Monday (a bit early), but started eating more carefully from new year so
1/1/15. 14st 5lb
12/1/15 14st 1lb
I like a lot of you am a serial weigher, but I will only officially log my weight on a Monday.
But after a sneaky peak today I'm looking at 6lb over the last 2 days ??
I've had my pre op and my actual op date is Feb 3rd
Nerves are starting to kick in, but am also very excited

Good luck Moo...im sure you will do well and there is lots of support on here too!! Good luck with the LSD ...keep at it.

Hi moo

Good luck with your journey,I'm sure you'll do fab if you've lost the weight on your own before :)

Whoop whopp Moo gl hunni and wtg on the losses already...... think you missed my message RE hat :) love them ...... how busy are you with orders?? can you do owl's?? and how much :) please thank you ................ i need one LOL

I haven't taken orders for a while now, started a new job, and by the evenings I'm so tired, but I guess it would be a good distraction. Let me have think about time and I'll let you know. I only sell them for £5-£6 each, more to cover costs than anything, it's a hobby rather than a business x

Did anyone do the milk diet for your lsd? I've been told to have 4 shakes a day, but I'm wondering if I can swap shake 4 for a low calorie snack?

So I'm feeling pretty belugh today! Am very tired and have no motivation at all!!
Doesn't help that the shakes I was given on prescription I am struggling to get hold of, I have enough to last me until Sunday then I have none left! I have a prescription but I can't find a pharmacy that stocks them or that can get them for me faster than 10 day, which isn't much use as I'll be almost finished by then :-(
I now need to find another product that I can buy but don't even know where to start as there are just so many...

Get in touch with your Gp and get him to prescribe another sort for you because there should be an alternative and you shouldn't have to be looking around for them. Good luck

Yes ask the question...i used slimfast but they are high in sugar...if you run out make sure you drink milk in the meantime. Good luck in getting stocked up

Well today is not going to be the best day for me. My 2nd son was born 12 years ago today, unfortunately he was born too soon and never had a chance. I can't believe it was so long ago ?

So I managed yesterday and still didn't reach for the snacks so I'm very pleased with myself, I've started to think about getting organised ready for after the op, and there will be days when I'll need to eat lunch at work. So I'm looking at lunch boxes. What do you guys use? Obviously I don't want anything too big so I was looking at

Am I being too optimistic? There are 400 / 500ml capacity? I'm thinking if it's not too big I can't eat too much. What do you think?

Firstly huge hugs coming your way hunn x x x x x ... I only just caught up with your posts, what sad news my heart goes out to you .......... Its never easy coping with these sorts of anniversary's and you done amazingly gal wd.....

Now plastic containers OOOOOOOoooohhhh i have a fetish i think LOL every time we go shopping i have to stop and swoon over them ......morrisons have loads in their sale section..... i fell in love with the polar one but still haven't purchased one as i really don't have the need (as much as i'd love one) i did get one pink one (cant remember make) which has knife and fork attached to lid, great for salads but far too big for my needs these days..... For immediately post op my need was for a soup container which stayed hot....the polar one would do fab.... i found a soup microwave mug which was perfect..... my small flask is the best purchase right now so i've always got a hot drink close by :) guess it all depends in what kind of thing you eat for lunches... sainsburys has some great containers too.......... all sizes ..... even a round ones for wraps!!!!

Gl in finding the perfect one for you x x x
