morning all.on Thursday it a start to what I thought was a stomach bug.everything was going well till them.i am 3 weeks post op.i was looked after by my hubby great.he was doing my meals.following all the plan to a t.but the runs never stopped for nearly 4 days.and I can still feel the crams.sweating.and now the odd panic attack.i feel so low and drained.i rang hospital and said I was under my gp now.but they did give advice.but as it turns out.and when I look at it now.i have dumped big style.i did follow the plan and ate every meal.my husband has his own feelings on this.and wonders how I am managing on so little food anyway.but bye bye please take care.this is not a nice thing.i feel warn out.oh can anyone tell me the ruling on a cuppa tea or coffe.on another site it say leave caffine alone.but they were giving us it in hospital.and they were 2 of us had bypass.so does anyone know.take care all be back soon.

I think coffee has been something which can aid ulcers to form on the bowel or joins in our new pipework so to speak. Keep up with the water and peppermint tea is refreshing hot warm or cold. If it something you are eating then try to eliminate one thing at a time and see what happens could it be dairy, have a word with Yvessa she has or had intolerance to dairy products (I think ) worth asking though x

When I had my ulcer 'fixed', they told me to keep off coffee for a couple of weeks and then only have as a treat... meanies :(

The hospital advice/orders seemed to work though :)

Hi Soohoo, hope you feeling better soon hunni. May be worth considering but I felt exactly the same and it was down to the gallstone tablets that the hospital gave me............. apparently it was a reaction to them. I have stopped them now and feel back on too of the world.

Don't know if u are taking them just thought I would share my thought xx

thankyou for all your replies.your all great.i am dairy intolerance.and I thought it might be the soluable vitamins that I drink.they are so fizzy they are like orange juice but horrible.i will eliminate one at atime and see how it goes.but I was have a couple of teas and a coffee late afternonn.purly to get rid of my soya milk.you cant drink this stuff by itself its not nice.quite nutty.almond even.i tried to get some cursha no added sugar powder.my daughters have trailed all the supermakets to get this.i love milkshakes but cant find it anywhere.so that's how I was getting rid of all my milk.its great to hear from you all.and I will try all this.and be in touch soon.have a great weekend soohoo

Hi hon, crusha curdles in soy milk :( If you google sugar free megastore you will find some sugar free syrups. They're expensive but very worth it.

With the dumping, can you give us a day's food diary so we can help?

I dump on honey. Horribly! You might also need to try soya light or almond milk. Puréed fruit can also be an issue particularly puréed banana as it is quite high in sugars. Berries tend to be lowest sugar. Maybe try replacing honey with sweetener and trying puréed berries?
