hi all,

sorry but yet another question!

i received my pre op appointment today.. The day before my operation. And also quite a big form to fill in with height, weight, Medication etcetc on it.

so I'm just wondering what happens in the pre op assessment as i thought that's the sort of stuff theyd be asking then??

this means i have to travel 1.5hours each way on the 8th, and then go again on the 9th for the op. Good job i have an amazing friend who's willing to take me!!

thanks xx

My preop was back in feb.

I had blood tests. An ECG. Talk from the nurses. Met the surgeon team. Met the anethnatist. And then questions on my eating patterns, habits. Medical history. Weighed me. Etc etc.

Signed the consent forms and that was it xx

Sent from my iPhone using WLSurgery

Thanks hun, seemed like a long way to go the day before my op, but if it has to be done :) x

Good luck Northamptongirl, it does seem a bit daft the day before, but they must be confidant that all is going to be fine, it will build the excitement and I think you will probably sleep better, having just refreshed yourself with the building.

Good luck my friend

Thanks Katy,

I personally think it's because my op was brought forward 3 weeks, I bet they had already booked the assessment appointment.

Oh well, means I can leave work a day earlier haha.

Sam x
