how long after gastric bypass can i drink alcohol

Hi everyone.

just another couple of questions, how long did you wait before you drank alcohol? I'm not a daily drinker but do enjoy a few glasses of something merry when we socialise. Also, how long after surgery before you were up and about, walking at normal pace, driving, taking kids out etc?

I first had alcohol at 6 months but your provider will tell you their guidelines but your ability to 'cope' with alcohol will greatly diminish. One of those single glass bottles of wine and I'm fissed as a part!!

I have a sensible teen so can't comment on kids. I was driving 2 weeks after as I was capable of doing an emergency stop and my insurance was happy with that - you need to check your insurers guidelines.

I'm struggling to remember walking timescales but I did struggle to remember not to lift anything heavier than a kettle for however many weeks it was as I felt so good xx

Yes i would like to know that to. Although they say it goes to your head rather quick! And sometimes its wasted calories but do like a glass to relax occasssionaly . X
