Got my date and finally back on track.

My Gall Bladder was packed full of stones and stuck to both my liver and something else so the surgeons who looked at the ERCP results and the scans said it was too risky to leave it in. Further risks were that because it was so bad that if there were any future complications i.e. a stone left behind or a repair it would mean full open surgery as the bypass makes the area inacessible once complete.

Plus I had to have it taken out immediately as it had caused my spleen to become enlarged, I had pancreatitis, my liver was showing signs of stress and already had a temporary stent in my bile duct while they assessed what was to be done. That stent is to come out at the end of this month and be replaced with a perm one and possibly a drain. Not looking forward to that but it's getting me a step closer to the losers bench.

But.............. It's done, I feel much better and I'm back on track and focussed on getting through the last hurdle at the end of the month and then roll on September 15th Yeay!

Thanks. I can't wait. I've even set a reminder in my phone for starting the dreaded liver diet and a reminder for the surgery - every day it tells me how many days and hours I have left to wait.
