I had my surgery at the end of April this year. It has not been plain sailing...and I have had weeks when my weight loss was zero (and one week when I gained). I just wanted to post to those of you at the start of your journeys....because I know how this made me feel. I was convinced that I was doing something wrong and that my loss wasnt good enough. However, at 14 weeks out I have just passed another milestone. I have lost 5 stone 3lbs. I can trust now...that even if I am stalling...that this surgery is working. I have good weeks and not so good weeks...and that is ok. I cant believe how far I have come in such a short time. It is amazing! Never easy....but worth every challenge I have faced! And a thankyou to all those further down the line than me. Reading your posts has been inspirational and the advice given so valuable. I wanted to post today because I am in such a good place....and because it is easy to post if you are struggling with things....but I tend to forget to mark the positive moments. I am able to enjoy the good weeks and accept that there will be slow weeks. As long as I follow my providers instruction it will work. Thanks to everyone who posts on here, new and old. I am a lurker on here....read a lot....but post little. But I do benefit from all your experieces. X

Thank you, Pauline - as a newbie this is really helpful as I know that I am my harshest critic and I beat myself up more than anyone. So it is good to know that even if things aren't always straightforward, this is the right thing to do. Congratulations, too on your fabulous weight loss.
