I'm just wondering if it's normal to still get pains (feels like trapped wind, but not definite) after eating or drinking anything at 5-6 days post surgery?
I understand I'm not going to be anywhere near fully healed yet, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had the same issues early on?
Strangely enough, I notice it worse when I drink plain water. I've been adding a little NAS squash to it and , while it still does get painful, it's not as bad.
Obviously, I'm sipping, not gulping! And waiting a good 30 seconds or more between sips. But, it seems to happen whenever anything goes into my stomach.
Upon waking (when my stomach is empty), I'm feeling little to no pain or pressure, but as soon as I take that first sip, I get the bloated, trapped wind feeling. That stays with me throughout most of the day, dulling down, but then worsening again when I eat or drink.
I'm not in agony with it, it's just a very unpleasant feeling, that turns into a dull pain occasionally.
Has anyone had the same problem? And is it normal?
