Anyone else feel sickly?

emma-louise

my new life!!
Not sure if the weather is making me feel like this...
But I feel so sickly everytime I'm trying to eat something.
So it's putting me off eating to be honest, and because I'm not eating much I think I've lost a bit of weight again.
Which isnt a bad thing,as I'd gained a little...but it's not healthy!
Last time I felt like this was in the first year of my bypass.
I'm almost 4 years now and the sickly feeling has just started again.
It's not dumping as I know the difference by now..
Anyone else suddenly gone off food ?

NO BUT my restriction is very good at the moment. I wish I could get used to not having meals at regular times that would help me so much. I never feel hungry yet still make my food at meal times think maybe that's where I go wrong and at work still snack yet I know I don't need it. My head demands and fancies things even though I can't eat it all still feel the need to have a go at it. If I eat too much I can feel sickly still but that's not every day. I have been enjoying the sun between work days. Its nice to be warm as I am always cold and its even been warm for me at times lol xx

It could be the weather. Although I am a fairly new post opper (only 13wks out) I have to make myself eat on these hot days. I just do not feel hungry at all. Nor particularly thirsty to be honest. I've also noticed that it's bland things that make me feel sicky in this heat. For example - eggs. I just cannot eat a full egg without feeling sickly, but if I spice it up a little with black pepper or cayenne, it's fine. I've found that a mixed salad with a low fat mustard dressing and lots of fresh beetroot in a juniper and black pepper coating (Morrisons) seems to work for me and helps avoid the sickly feeling. There seems to be a peppery theme here, I'm not sure if pepper is some sort of natural anti-sickness thing. I've also found that fresh fruit with a decent yoghurt doesn't cause the sickiness feeling too.
I guess what I ask trying to say is perhaps you could try finding a flavour that doesn't make you feel sickly and stick to that if necessary. At least you'll be having something.

Not sickly as such but restriction is a b**ch and I'm getting the shakes and giddiness in what my GP & I think are low blood sugar episodes & he wants me to monitor my blood. I'm just waiting for a machine etc so I can start. To be honest though food just isn't appealing at all at the moment. It's too darned warm

Thanks for the replies...
I've had another day of sickly...throwing up on coffee!
I've been trying to increase my fluids as I'm looking a bit wrinkly,I'm guessing I'm becoming a bit dehydrated.

It's strange...I eat a lot of fish..just had some cooked white fish and I'm so nauseous.
I don't get it...I don't know why this is happening?
Everytime I'm eating a proper meal it's making me feel sick.
I haven't got pain..just a sickly feeling.
I had to force the fish down,as I'd not eaten all day,and that's due to fear of the sickly feeling I'm having.

It might be best to speak to you doctor, especially if you're having a hard time keeping fluids down.

Hope you feel better soon x
