Shoulder Pain

Nearly every time I eat or drink for the last week or so I've had a pain in my left shoulder.

I eat/drink small amounts and take it slow.

Anyone know why this is?

Thanks :) x

Hi Hun.. You may have a small pocket of air left in from surgery.. It can take months for it to disappear completely...

I had the same thing after my band surgery many years ago.. It moves around till it disperses completely... It used to put me off eating at one stage .. Then it just disappeared overnight ...

Hope it's not too uncomfortable... If in doubt ring your bariatric nurse or provider jut for some reassurance x x x

Months? :(

To be honest hun, my provider isn't being very helpful at the moment! I have a telephone consultation with the dieticians tomorrow, will ask them.

Thank you x

I had this last week - but Windeeze seemed to help. Hope you get some answers x

It happens every time I eat/drink at work. Doesnt seem to happen with my dinner at night which is very strange.

The dietician said yesterday that it could be that I'm taking in too much air with the hot food/drinks, so to make sure I sip/eat small amounts... which I thought I was already doing!

Weird... i hope it sorts itself out soon xx

oh god the pain is really bad this morning.

my left shoulder again, and sometimes spreading over to the middle of my chest

I was having similar symptons, however the pain was in my right shoulder, going all the down my back and under my rib cage.

After a scan it turned out to be Gall Stones, and I have to have my Gall Bladder removed. Definatley get to the docs to get it checked out.

hiya,
sorry i forgot to post that i had been to the doctors!
they said that the pain is nothing to do with the op - its a muscle problem... just take painkillers and try to work on my posture x
