Another Vitamin Thread

I know there are a heck of a lot of these threads but I am hoping for answers from some of the more experienced Bypasser's -no offence intended. :D

What vitamins are you taking? I was told to take Forceval initially but its so hard to get, as there is a production issue with the tablets and the soluble kind makes me so ill. These obviously, are left to go flat before I take them.

I now take Sanatogen A-Z but as a Sleever but are these OK for a Bypass patient? Also, which Calcium, vitamin D and B12 tablets do you take? What about sprays?

I know there are many tablets out there and many of you will purchase whatever is on offer but I know that not all of these contain the recommended daily allowances for WLS patients.

Many thanks,

Alex xx

Hi hon, as you know I am very pro vitamin lol. I take:

-Asda a-z complete (1 morning, 1 night)
-ferrous fumarate (1 morning)
-Asda hair skin and nails (1 morning, 1 night)
-cacit d3 one morning and one night with a half hour gap between it and the iron
- Vit b12 initially once every 12 weeks, now down to once every 8 weeks.

I take the first three in the morning with a coffee and then the calcium half an hour later. In the evening I take the other two with the calcium. You may find a different calcium better as that one is an effervescent.

Just swapped to Centrum 50+ from Boots multi-vits, Floradix 2 x day, VitB12 sublingual nugget and Calcium chews all daily. I'm also supplementing with B1, Biotin and evening primrose oil for skin and hair.

Some are big tablets but they go down fine.
