Dated for surgery

Hi Just to update you all I have now been dated for surgery Yippee! 27th November. Not wanting to sound ungrateful or negative I have some worries 1.Im likely to be off for the Christmas period at work which is not going to go down well with the Christmas rota 2.Its going to be Christmas lol !!!Eeeeek really hope I dont come across as ungrateful was hoping for end of Oct ..I suppose whats to be will be and may be theres a reason for that date .Pre op beg of Nov so i will start the DDDRRRR !!! Liver shrinking diet!However Im very happy its all coming together and soon I will be slim again..

That's amazing news!!!! How much different will Christmas feel this year , knowing your moving onto a slimmer you !!! xx

I had my op late Nov last year, its the best thing ever go for it I am 9 months post op and over 9st lighter, think of that slinky black dress you will wear Xmas '15

Thank you Sharon2014 and Butterfly lady . Its all going round in me little fat head!! Butterfly_lady you have done so well but how did you cope with the Christmas period or did it not really bother you? How long was you off work? great photo

Just think whilst everyone is normally gaining a little extra padding at christmas..you'll be losing!
Good luck,just get organised and you'll be fine.

I know excited hope I dont mess it up with all those chocolates etc floating around then!! dinner with out nearly the whole bird on my plate will be strange as I love turkey with lots of salt!!!

I work from home on my lappy, I had the op on the Thurs came home on the Sat worked a 12 hr shift the following Tues, I enjoyed Xmas day as I was a few stone lighter and actually bothered to dress up for the occasion, and you can make an Xmas dinner soup

Wow My s day is on a Thursday I really hope Im like you wow that was quick no issues or probs. Was you bypassed remind me again. You must have felt like a million dollars to dress up . May be i should get a sexy santa maid uniform for me partner lol and cook me soup. Will be calling on you for some great wholesome soup recipes

Hey Sharona

I was given a date of August the 18th a while back, however the date I couldn't go ahead with because of work and a holiday. So asked if they could reschedule mine and they have done. They told me they would aim for the op to be around the first week of November however, would give me a date nearer the time. Because of the date you have got I'm thinking it may be abit later than that. I will give the Biatrics team a call tomorrow to see what they say.

At the moment I'm doing ok. Just trying to maintain and lose a little before I start pre-op diet. Losing abit of motivation atm. Im sure getting a date will kick start my motivation again.

I think over Xmas will be hard, however my family have planned an "early" Christmas meal for me and my mum (my mother has to work Xmas day this year) so hopefully it won't be to bad.

It does mean however we should be all healed and ready for a new year and a new start!! It is very exciting times indeed

What a fantastic Christmas present! Think how you feel this time next year. Will there ever be a good time, go for it! Best of luck and look forward to hearing all about your progress x

oh yes i remember you saying now about your holls . Hope you had a good time . I only got my letter yesterday . Let me know when you get a date . my pre op is Nov 4th . When i spoke to bookings they said they have no dates left now for Nov however you may be dated and they are waiting to call you or send a letter. Im lacking motivation too I do believe its all the waiting and not being connected to the Slim group. I have gained at least half a stone but im trying a bit again now. I dont know if you agree its the head hunger we need to sort. Wishing you luck with the date x
