Hello!

Hope your soreness will go away soon :)

I had my bypass on the 6th of september.

I dont really cook for myself. Way too small amount needed and i would get bored of eating the same thing for days if i cooked more! I got some soups from waitrose (just read the labels to watch for amounts of sugars, fat and protein). I usually warm up a bit, blend it, add some watter to make it more runny (or milk if it suitable with the soup) and strain it too. Add some protein powder (i use pea protein powder which is suppose to be flavourless) in to have more protein. Also have some yogurt with added milk to make them more runny and less sweet as most of them taste way too sweet for me. Had a few of complan ready made milkshakes with milk added (otherwise too sweet again). This morning had some of atkins shake again, diluted with plain milk (had one left over from ages ago). And keep having peppermint tea! ;)

I had my op in 9th, coming home today, I've been having fresh fruit milkshake or soup in hospital blended and sieved. What did your hospital advice you what to have? I'm on liquids for 4 weeks x

Hiya. I was really lucky with my friends and family. It is sometimes hard to motivate myself to cook for myself when I am only eating tiny portions. A lot of my friends and family make me up pots of food when they are cooking, so I have a freezer full of pots that I can access. They dont mind coz its just a couple of spoonfulls....and I get to eat recipes that I wouldnt normally get to eat. I can eat normal textures now...but used to puree them when I was at that stage. I really enjoy the variety!

Can I ask how many table spoons can u eat roughly. I can eat approx 4-5 and feel satisfied but not bloated. I've never felt the " dumping" so worried it not restrictive enough. But I'm fine and sticking to it but just tempted to eat to much just know if that makes sense

I think everyone is different. And I am different from one day to the next. Sometimes I can only eat 2 spoons...and sometimes 6-7. Really have to listen to your body and not push it. As soon as I feel full I have to stop or will end up sick. I was worried about my restriction at first...but have lost 6st 7lbs in 5 months so its working. x
