Hi, I'm post op two week, been very sensible eating well sometimes don't eat enough. Anyways I've been at work forgot my food so went without ( bad I know ) came home and eat 3 sausages there were slow could so very very sort. I am paranoid it's not working so then eat a doughnut . I feel full but certainly not dumping. I want feel like I need to push myself to dump so to speak to know it's working. As I fear I could fall back in my old ways if I can rear anything.

Does that make sense ?

Are you saying you ate 3 sausages and a doughnut at 2 weeks post op?

perhaps some coaching by your AFTERCARE SERVICE! from my research these drastic procedures are as much about mental changes as the physical. talk to people, find out how they diverted, planned to fit new ways into busy lives etc...... don't purge on rubbish, its rubbish food thats made us feel rubbish.

love you, and worship yourself enough to only put goodness into you from now on x

No guys totally agree. I'm loosing weight and yes I just eat all. I feel really full. I didn't it eat for greed if that makes sense. I want to know how much I could eat. I'm worried because lack of will power I guess is why I needed the op so scared. 1 it hasn't worked and what happens if I'm weak. I am and will loose weight was just hoping that I physically couldnt eat cos I would be sick or dump, then ur your, scared of that ... If that makes sense. When I had the op I new it was my only chance to loose weight and have a new life... Just got a lot riding on it. So scared it. Hasn't worked if that makes sense. I mean must be smaller as once over would have eat 5 assuages and a meal and probs 2 doughnuts. Just when I suppose to be on blended food thought it would have. Taken less to fill if that makes sense

my guess is your gonna boff but you know what, your not going to fail and i do sort of understand the test you've just done too, in a way.

make tomorrow better x

You could really damage your pouch if you eat food other than purée at this stage, and I'd assume you could be stretching it out (but don't take my word on the stretching!).

Take a step back, try and rid the house of trigger foods for you, and follow your provider's advice on your recovery diet!

Best wishes with your journey.

Ok hunni right now take a second and think about this......you need to trust this is going to work and stop trying to hit the self destruct button........ positive thinking and positive actions will see you thru honestly. In the meantime you need to really stick to your providers rules with regards to your post op eating.... i'm guessing you should be on liquids right now?? these rules are out in place for your safety hunni and pushing you new tummy to its limits right now is frankly silly and dangerous. We have these rules provided for a reason...... right now you are eating foods/liquids which are easy on the tum which don't require your tummy to go thru the digestive process this is while your tummy heals. YOu have been thru major surgery..... you may be feeling better on the outsides now but insides is a different kettle of fish!!!! If you feel you have no will power .... then rid the house of it all........... Iwil also suggest you speak with your provider in the morning and alert them to how your feeling maybe they can offer so after care help. As far as i'm aware (i'm a bander so slightly different i guess) the restriction of your tummy will come once you return to normal foods (at the correct time) x x x x x You have been given a chance in a life time to get your life back on track, please please don't ruin this x x x xx x huge hugs

Hi weightlossbiker,
I'm assuming you've had the gastric bypass. So did I on the 2nd September, I am on WEEK THREE of the after diet I've had just liquids, thick liquids, and now I've only just started having puree. All under the management of the dietician and aftercare group - do you have one?
You must speak to them about this? Did you have your op through the NHS or Private?
I am typing a lot quicker than normal and panicking like a crazy person, and I'm sorry please don't be offended.
You say this operation has meant a lot to you, please say your life does too hun, if so please stop testing your stomach like this, you need to let your stomach heal otherwise this testing could KILL you and I don't mean figuratively speaking, you could burst your new pouch. Please speak to someone in the aftercare team about how your feeling and follow the diet you've been given. It will all come in time. xx

Stop pushing it and contact your provider. Solids are a bad idea this early in and doughnuts are not on the menu

You are risking your health

We were told of a woman who a week post surgery decided she fancied a cheese sandwich. She ended up in intensive care after bursting the staple line

If you carry on eating foods like that so early post op, it's not going to work. Follow your diet from your provider to the letter. If you don't your putting your immediate health at risk.

The bypass is just a tool to help you lose weight, not a magic cure. You need to work with it for it to give you the best results. I follow my diet plan rules strictly even now (10 months out) and that's how I've lost 10 stone. I agree with everyone else, contact your provider and ask for help. I can't even eat 1 whole sausage now and as for a doughnut, just the thought makes me sick! Please take this chance you've been given and use it wisely Good luck

Hi all thanks for all the advice

Yes mad moment well and truly gone. I'm struggling to get my protein I think and not resting enough - was trying to move faster than I should have.

So back to liquids again and everything seems to be going well now.
