Size?

It may sound stupid but does anyone know measurements for dress sizes?

I've looked on a few Google search sites and they differ quite a lot.

Need to go and buy a few staples to get through the next month as nothing now fits and I'm not brave enough to try clothes on in a shop.

I find sizing in different stores so annoying. I just put my pre-op measurements in the calculator and it said I should be wearing a size 18 in Next. I've just ditched my size 14 next jeans and a size 12 next top as they were too big. So strange.

The trouble is there's no standard sizing, I remember once dithering between a black or a plum coloured skirt, finally picked the black one, tried it on it fitted fine, paid for it and it scanned at half price so I went back and grabbed the plum coloured one (same shop same size same skirt) when I got it home I couldn't do up the zip!!

I think you should look at the suize guides on the website of individual shops.

Btw let us know when you work out which size you are

There are quite a few shops online that allow free returns, you could order a few different items and sizes and try them at home and send back anything that doesn't fit??

That's why I have a wardrobe full of brand new and tagged clothes that don't fit. I never get around to sending them back. I always mean to, then I find a pile of them in the office still waiting to go.
