As you know, today is the day I go into hospital. I do not know if the Bypass is a dead cert' but after having spoken to the team dietician again yesterday, he assures me once again that my new surgeon is as eager as they come to sort me out.

I made a list of questions for the dietician and the surgeon and have asked them all. I just wondered if you could think of anything I should be asking? I just want to be sure I have covered all the bases. I didn't ask as many questions when going in for my Sleeve and I really wish I had. So, please tell me what would you be asking regarding a Bypass, your care, the surgery, the healing, bodily functions post op, what to expect regarding how the body or "stomach" feels".

Kind thanks

well you are asking tricky questions today lol. I would be asking I am going to be able to live a 'normal life' will I be able to eat healthily, what are the 1st few weeks guna be like , what else cud go wrong? make sure you see dietician before coming home with food ideas so that you have a plan in place and in your mind. good luck with everything. I am in 24hr shift from tomorrow so look forward to your posts after op. xxx

Touch wood ive been very lucky post op no major issues but I did have concerns about 2 things
1.drinking enough fluids during the day I after 4 weeks can still only manage half cups of stuff at the most1 1/2 cups a day
2. Been bunged up I "go" from very regular to 1x a week leaving me as I say bunged up a bit taking meds but not really helping
I wish you all the luck in the world and a speedy return to your beauiful children
see you on the other side

Los in it have you tried prune juice I used to buy the sunsweet prune juice in litre bottle from local super market it is a real natural way of getting you too the loo I had the same toilet issues and still do from time to time. But you have to realise also that the amount of food going into our bodies is a lot less so we will need the toilet a lot less. The prune juice was a godsend it really was but just be careful at first in case you dump on it some do but I never did. worth a try if you haven't done so already x

Will give the prune juice a go I want to try something more natural than medication
thanks for the tip
