chest infections pre bypass

Hi all so I constantly get chest infections I had one 4 weeks ago and have currently had this one for 2 weeks. Basically when the steroids stopped before it came back few days later

It has just occurred to me as it's my pre op next Thurs could this affect it? I also cling onto them and my asthma nurse is refusing to give me more steroids and the antibiotic as usual is not working. It's making my asthma hurrendous too, more than usual!

also just another quick question. I'm super scared and nervous but no way I'm backing out now op is on 17th but I've heard people talk about pre meds I think to help them chill? Is this something I should take if offered? Would it relax me enough? Lol

Feel for you jo, I'm similar to this. So scared I'll be cancelled, feel a cold coming on but seeing asthma nurse today. Good luck xx

It's terrible isn't it trying to keep myself wrapped up etc but to be honest I'm like it all year round. Have no idea if they'd cancel or not they done my endoscopy before when I had a chest infection it took 3 go's and if I didn't manage the third Time surgeon said I'd have to go back when it had cleared up. So I'm now worried about this with op being 12 days away. X

We don't even have endoscopies before surgery. Hopefully we will recover fully and our ops will go ahead ok x

Mid yorks. No one has I don't think. Yes I can't believe I've been on here everyday since last Oct and it's my turn next!! Eeek
