All they have given me is paracetamol so I'm not happy, both my upper & lower abdomen are hurting, I'm shattered but too afraid to sleep, other than that I'm fine lol

Only regular pain relief, that doesnt sound right maybe you could ask for something a little stronger?
Reading your post and others post op makes me realise how lucky I was to have post op pain to think about only discomfort because I couldnt get comfy in my bed
I wish others could have it as easy as I did
Try to get some sleep things always look and feel better in the morning

I suggest keep ringing the call button until they relent and give you a painkilling injection.

I slept for 10 hours after surgery, I couldnt come round from the general, so guess I was lucky! Hope you are feeling better today!

Same here, I slept for about eight hours after a good night before and then watched Netflix through the night on my phone.

I had my surgery on the 30/12. I had a bypass. It does get better but as everyone has said ask for pain relief. I was lucky I did not have a lot of pain from stitches but did have pain from the wind and my muscles and the top of my legs and arms. They gave me peppermint water for the wind and that really did help. They gave me some pain relief for the legs and arm and it's taken a few days to go but I am feeling better today. I did't sleep once they woke me up I found it so hard to get to sleep there. x

A bit too late for the suggestion but I took a beach towel with me and laid it on the bed. It made a big difference.
