Back pain?

Hi all,

The last two days I've had really bad back pain on the lower, left hand side of my back.

I've just googled it (never a good idea lol) and it suggests kidneys?

I've tried taking paracetamol but they aren't working. And I can't take anything stronger.

Anyone have any ideas?

Could be kidneys or it could be muscular, if it carries on and paracetamol is no help is prob see a doctor to get it checked.

Try a hot water bottle, have you been to the toilet? I think you can take cocodamols if you need to. Get it checked out if it persists x

I might try a hot water bottle when i get home, thanks.
I am allergic to codiene, so all I can take is paracetamols.

Someone else just mentioned kidneys as well... thanks hun, will call the doctor if it doesn't get better soon x

Hi, I had exactly the same thing and because it appeared to radiate from my kidney area I went to the docs, just for piece of mind. It's was just muscular, I suffered on and off for about 8 months but it's completely fine now.
I recently had an appointment with my surgeon and mentioned this to him. It is often a problem with any significant weight loss as when our tummys are very large it pulls the back forward (at the small back) and as we lose the weight the back tries to realign itself, hence the muscular pain.

Oh no, hopefully you've got some meds to get you sorted quickly x

just been put on a 5 day course of anti biotics. Luckily I'm off work today ... Am hoping its starting to get better by tomorrow x
