Omeprazol

Due to all my compactions after op I was on 40mg twice s day of omeprazol but they halved it last Friday and ever since Sunday I have been so so sick dry heaving / retching every time I walk or move and sometimes getting sick. I feel dreadful I can't eat anything I'm only bearly getting in 200kcal a day now

Could this cause this ? Or is it a tummy bug I have ( have a bit of a head cold 2)

I was put on lansoprazole (similar thing) and it made me sick as a dog for first two weeks of taking it, Was an orodispersible (melt in mouth) tablet. After stopping it I was fine.
Sometimes if they cut a dose suddenly, your body is a little unprepared for it, Speak to your team to see if you can up it again till you are over this bug. Hope you feel better soon .xx

I've been on lanzaropsole for over 4 yrs after this op,not really had an issue with sickness.
But if you find your suffering,the docs will prescribe anti sickness short term,whilst your getting over this sickly period.
I was given these in the first year as everything made me heave..and they helped enormously.

Can you still drink without sickness? C

Yeah u am good at getting drinks in. I do need at least a pint of water to take my tablets in morn. It's starting to get a lot better but I'm back taking my anti sickness tablets regular.
