How long after op did you dump?

Hi, it was a few days after surgery for me. I bought a Weight watchers Greek style mousse which was full of sugar I felt rotten afterwards, it knocked me for a few days as I was a bit scared after it x

4 hours - the hospital gave me a thick creamy sugary yoghurt by mistake! :(

Omg bless you! Will everyone dump at some point? It's been 4 weeks since op and touch wood I've not which I'm thankful for, I've had thick creaming yogurts and chocolate shape yogurts etc xx

It's very varied. Some people have a higher tolerance than others and never will. I had a tablespoon of ice cream last night and slow onset dumped about 3 hours later, for about an hour! I'm 15 months out!

Not sure if it was dumping as such, after 2 months off work on my second week back I wanted a coffee from a hospital canteen none on offer so had a drinking chocolate my favorite drink, well after 3 or so tips I felt like a space cadet all in the air and giddy I felt I might be sick runny mouth sweaty face but wasnt sick needed to sit down for a few minutes , not had one since

Everyone is different ..I dump at the drop of a hat both late and early onset. I'm just waiting for my 2 pancakes that I had for tea to creep up and mug me at some time later on. I don't normally push the barriers but Pancake Tuesday has always been celebrated in our house and I refuse to break it :p

I dumped properly about a week post-op on a highlights hot chocolate, it was the worst feeling ever. I can now eat pretty much anything, including chocolate and ice-cream (in very very small quantities) but if I start to push the limits with those naughty foods then I get a mini version of dumping I guess ... Then I know it's time to stop eating! X

Yep classic early onset but minus the sleepies

I hope I'm like you fingers crossed, I'm scared of the thought of dumping xx

I don't mind it to be honest ..it's my own personal deterrent. I try let it not get in the way of trying new stuff either. New suspects are always tested within the confines of my own home. Sometimes though foods I have regarded as safe bite me on the bum. Like my alpro yoghurt the other day . Had another today with no problem. Only thing different was I had the bad alpro first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
