Hi If your having further problems , perhaps you should be calling your team they may wish to see you,
I am one week out from bypass and i am able to slam fluids down my neck no issues at all, at least 3 ltrs a day,

I would get checked out if its causing you an issue, good luck

I felt sick for a long time. You should check with your team but something I did was to get anti sickness tabs from my GP. Helped a lot but yes if you are struggling to get the fluids in you, and remember you can dehydrate much quicker now you aren't getting extra liquid from food, then have a chat with your team. You could also try rehydration salts to sip through out the day. Being dehydrated can actually make you feel sick.

Thanks for the advice, i rang my team this morning and they have advised leaving off vitamins and codeine for a couple of days to see how things go. No temperature or rapid pulse or D & V so they weren't worried and said it is very common.

This put my mind at rest. So lay off the drugs today and concentrate on getting fluids in and eat small and often. I have lost 2 and a half stone now in 5 weeks.
