Is this normal?

Hello Everyone,
I am just wondering if anyone can help me.
I am 3 weeks post op tomorrow,
I am still in alot of pain, I had 8 stab wounds due to op & hernia & adhesions.
I can't lie on my sides without my stomach hurting alot.
I can't bend without the feeling of a pop like a staple pop out in my stomach which is not where any of my stab wounds are, It's like a rectangle of pain in my stomach from below my belly button to just under my breast bones, down the centre of my stomach.
I am having to sit up like a pregnant woman, I physically need helping lying down on my back so i don't stretch my stomach muscles :cry:
2 out of my 8 stab wounds hurt a lot, one on the right looks like i have a golf ball sized lump under it.
I literally scream out loud if i move in a position that stretches my stomach,
It even hurts me to bend as to put my shoes on!
I am still having to take Tramadol pain relief daily.
I just don't know if this is "normal"
I don't want to hassle the hospital if this is "normal"
Has anyone else felt this way before? Any advice appreciated Danni x

You need it checking out, 3 weeks post op you would expect discomfort but not debilitating pain, and lumps under incisions need looking at

Sounds awful I would strongly recommended you contact your team for medical advice because in my mind, reading your entry and im not a doctor , sounds like a wound infection maybe?

UPDATE:
Just been on the phone to the hospital,
They think its because i was not taking my Lansoprazole,
Because for my wounds to heal because i have had 3 in 1 op i need to keep the acid
down so they heal & with me not taking them my internal wounds were not healing.
I thought that medication was in with my A-Z Multi Vitamins,
I just took it now so fingers crossed i will heal asap, was told will be about 6-8 weeks.
Hospital going to call me around the end of the week or beginning of next week to see how i am, but if i get worse or vomit i need to contact them asap & come in.
Just got out the hot water bottle thanks everyone will keep use updated, Danni x

Good job you phoned and this was picked up.

Yes it is a PPI and helps regulate the acid. Just think if you had a small cut on your finger and some vinegar got in.. Ouch right? That why you are hurting love, the Lansoprazole should protect it. How many times a day do you take it? i am surprised they didnt increase the dose to get you started.

That's good news Danni, so glad it was something essily remedied.

I have had to stop my Omeprazole for 10 days leading up to a gastroscopy and boy do I know it, the acid is horrendous, and here is me thinking it wasn't helping.
