The same happened to me, I thought my pouch was broken! Once you start on solid food, restriction will kick in big time. Also as your body is still healing, the stomach nerves haven't all recovered yet so you won't feel much restriction. Just take it easy, and don't push yourself :)

It will happen, don't worry :)

I am 7 months post op and what i find is different foods feel different, and my restriction varies. One day i can eat a bit more than normal, other days (like today) i had about half a chicken thigh and 2 spoons of rice and beans, and had to stop :D

Reading this is reassuring. I'm so used to eating until I'm really full. I'm now on the puree stage and am not feeling the same full feeling. I also have to stop myself and ~I try and eat by the clock. Also everytime I eat I keep on burping (and I don't mean little polite burps). I do hope this changes soon.

Well I hope that's the case with me. I'm on purée diet now for 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to normal food. Are you doing any walking or exercising JJ?

How are you finding the purée? I'm finding it harder than the liquid lol ! Although mines is classed as Purée / soft

Doing lots of walking , I had infections in my wounds so advised not to do anything else yet .
Building my steps up week by week but still getting tired :( what about you Gill are you doing much xx

I am
Now on normal foods and get a variation on my restrictions , I can eat a tea plate of food that's it but I can feel it more now am
On solid foods , example breakfast small
One egg omelette with feta cheese
Lunch small salmon fillet with veg
Dinner chicken steak pork mince with veg small portions of meat no more than 2 to 3 ounces of meat ,
Snakes high protein yogurt
Thins cracker with cheese spread and olives x I avoid starchy carbs like bread pasta rice and stuff as it slows my weight loss down and bloats me cxx and if been to the gym I have the off protein shake

Andibee: that's good I suppose it's about what works for you. Hoping I feel restriction soon. I feel uncomfortable but not full when I eat.

JJ: I'm also finding the purée hard. I have to keep reminding myself what it Should look like then I get all paranoid and add lots of water to it and it tastes terrible. I've not done any exercise and I need to start wAlking I'm going back to work next week and I will be on my feet constantly. I'm dreading it. Do you work if so when are you going back? I'd lost 20lb up to last Friday which is good. I was told we should loose between 3-6lbs each week for first 8 weeks. I hope there right.

I to have varied restriction on a daily basis depending on what foods i have, I am glad I am not the only one. today i am feeling hardly any restriction at all, which scares me abit but i know tomorrow is a new day
