Salad?

I am 3 weeks 3 days post op, I am so fed up of soup and weetabix and pureed veg, :sigh:
I would love a simple salad of lettuce , cherry tomato, onion, cucumber, boiled egg :p
I have had no carbs for about two months now & only think it's now effecting me a little,
My issue is the salad i would like doesn't state on my plan when it is actually allowed, don't want to pester the hospital if i can help it, any feedback would be appreciated! Danni x

Oddly enough salad was the 1 thing I was craving early on, I think it was the cool crunchiness I really wanted, but it was one of the last things I was allowed, anything fibrous I had to wait a while for, don't worry about bothering your team they would prefer you asked rather than make yourself ill, even now 17 months out I still can't tolerate cucumber skin I have to have it peeled xx

Hello Butterfly lady,
Thank you for your reply, i actually thought salad would be something we would be urged to eat sooner rather then later, i agree though it is the crunch where at the minute it is just slop, take care, Danni x

I was eight weeks out before i could introduce salad, I can manage a small amount.

I'm really lucky with what I can tolerate..
I have a salad every day
All chopped up with ham and a tiny sprinkle of fine grated cheese..
Cucumber
Onion
Tomato
Peppers
Radish
I don't worry too much with lettuce ...
I have a small side bowl that I use and just chew it well and take my time..
However my surgical team wouldn't allow me it until I was 12 weeks post op..
