Itchy Rash on Chest & Tummy

Has anyone that has had a gastric bypass come up with an itchy rash on there chest & tummy? I had my bypass about 6 weeks ago and for the last 3 weeks have been clawing myself to bits. GP hasn't a clue what it could be and just gave me a strong steroid cream that didn't work. Am currently taking lansoprozole, adcal, A-Z multivitamin, iron, folic acid & biotin. Any advice gratefully received . Thank you

Hi I had my bypass 4 weeks ago and I also have had a rash on my chest and arms my tummy has been really itchy since I came home although it has no rash I put this down to it healing from inside i dont think it is from adcal or the iron as i have just started these tablets.Sorry this post isn't really helpful to you :)
 
You could be allergic to one of the medications because thats what i get when i have a tablet that my body doesn't like hope it settles for you soon xx
 
Maybe it is your body releasing bad toxins from being in Ketosis. May be causing an itchy rash. Google Ketosis Rash. :)
 
Sorry to be boring but this could be due to so many things, not related to your bypass even.
I'd go back to your GP on Monday
 
My tummy is always itchy too ! I had bypass 3 months ago and it's always itchy , I googled it and it can be many of things , medication , lack of nutrients , dehydration , I had my bloods taken last week just incase but all come back totally fine , so I am quizzed about it also ,
