Coping strategies

I have always used food as a comfort and/or coping mechanism when stressed but obviously can't do that any more. Strangely nor do I want to, I am super stressed at the moment and can't face food at all, it's like my stomach has completely constricted.
Without food I'm struggling to deal with stuff going on at the moment and wondered how other people cope with stress after surgery???

Oh so difficult. I turn to food too and eat with a vengeance.
I felt stressed today, tried to be more active than usual. Took the dog for a walk, tackled some cleaning at home and my exercise basketball. I only do one exercise sadly but with playing this team game, running some after the ball...hindering stress of the whole week washes out.
So my recommendation would be a team support. After the game adrelines help with cravings....at least they did for me tonight but I do still find it a struggle (who she ate 5 biscuits yesterday!!).
Wishing you less stressful days.

I needed no excuse to over eat, now when things get a little stressful I just try to keep busy, ride it out and hope the moment passes very soon
good luck

I use candy crush (that's why I'm on level 1015 lol) always got my iPhone in my hand id be lost with out it, it passes time quickly especially since my GP has signed me off work till 3rd August after surgery, why do I have to have a manual working job tut. x

Thanks everyone, I am becoming a TV and iPhone game addict at the moment!! Anything to distract me :(
