Feeling accomplished

Well I'm stalling at 14st 7lb and I'm fine with that at the moment..
My diet isn't too bad but I know I need to cut out some carbs to start losing again..

Good bit of news is that I have just qualified as a Hackney carriage driver (taxi)..

I've been taking the relevant tests over the last 6 months including
A passenger assistance course
Advanced practical driving test
Knowledge test covering all routes and roads in Tendring (40 square miles)
And most importantly
I PASSED MY MEDICAL TEST

I would never have had the confidence to do this without the WLS and weight loss..
Working within the heart of the public and mostly strangers would have filled me with dread a year ago...

Imagining the drunken insults on the pub pick ups was enough to put me off lol...
But it's done and I'm going to enter into my marriage on a very level playing field as my hubby to be has a taxi firm ...

That's a massive NSV for me

Thank you ladies..

I feel that this year is going to be a really good one for me..

I am hoping that I will kick start my weight loss again over the next couple of days by cutting out some of the carbs and hopefully lose another 28lb by the end of the year..

One thing thus RNY has taught me is that it's not a sprint to lose the weight...

I seem to care less and less about the numbers on the scale..

I am using my clothes as a guide now and today I went out clothes shopping to finish off what I need for my honeymoon in 6 weeks and all my items were a size 16 .. Not a tight 16 .. A lovely comfy 16...

Got some great linen trousers and a dress that I would have run a mile from trying on ..

They will be just the ticket for when I get home again too and my licence has arrived and I am on the road earning some money..

I'm so happy just lately I could burst x x x x
 
Oh Valentine, how fabulous is that. You really have changed your life. What is your prospective husband's views on your weight loss?

Keep going for the weight loss.

Hoya hun... My hubby to be is also a WLS patient...
He has lost a massive 27st.. He was 44st at his heaviest and has completely turned his life around too

He understands the surgery and it's aftermath as he has been throu it too..

He had a band place privately in 2007 in Belgium and lost the first 15 stone.
That band slipped and he had a second one placed via the NHS and emergency surgery..
The second band eroded in 2013 and he had to have it removed..
By this time he was around 19st so had lost 25 stones...

He spent two years healing as his stomachs was too scarred to do any revision ..

Anyway jump forward to April 2015 and he has gained around 30 kilos back and he has healed enough to have his revision.

April 29th 2015 he has a gastric bypass which was a very complicated surgery due to all the scarring and lesions left from previous band placements and erosions etc..

So here we are 4 weeks away from getting married and Wayne is now back down to 110 kilos or 17 stone 2lb

So that's his story in a few sentences of his 27 stone weight loss..

He totally supports me and I support him .. We are a real match made in heaven lol x x
