It depends. Do you want to loose more? Or do you want to maintain now? Which surgery did you have?

I am 1 year out and still loose weight. Slowly and it does take more effort than loosing the same amount when i was 6 months post op but i still can loose weight.

I really hope so as I am banking on this being the case. I am a slow loser so need the extra time.

Im 18 months out and still losing, just takes me being more careful these days

Was nice to read that you all are still losing that far out from Surgery, just what I needed to hear.

I was told that the first 6/9 months are the "golden months" when most people can lose the most weight then it slows down and the hard work begins and for me its true all the work you do between those times help to retrain your mind and body to a new way of life , in my case the lose had slowec down but I am still losing I would love to lose more but im happy its still coming off

My team always say that first 12 months are your honey moon period and you should use this time to get new habits in and get rid of the old habits that got you into trouble. One dietitian even goes as far as saying that in first 12 montha you cant do anything wrong your body is doing most of the work anyway. And ge said that most of people report appetite comming back around this time and thats when your new learnt way of living (good choices and portion control) comes very handy! :)

Firstly, well done on your loss hon. It must feel great!

I am also 6 months post op. Being a bloke I've been lucky enough to lose every week, though one week was very close. My loss has continued but now slowly. I expect another stone over time.
