Excess weight/Excess skin

Ok bear with me guys cos this could be a silly question (they normally are with me! :D)

How do you know when you've lost enough weight?

What I mean is, I currently weigh 14st 8lb ... My personal target (never mind BMI etc) is 11st 6lb. But I'm also well aware that I have a lot of excess skin that I am going to need removing.

So, how do you know when you've lost enough and it's now just skin.

Thoughts please?
 
That's a very good question. Sorry I can't help with an answer but I'd be interested in what others say. I'm currently stuck at 13st 6lb. Having lost 15 st so far but I know that I must have well over a stone of loose, excess skin, maybe even more. My BMI still has me at obese even though I now have a smaller waist and wear the same size tops as my 12 year old. The only reason I'm in bigger jeans is due to the excess skin from my waist to my thighs (not pretty).
