Happy happy happy :)

Had my Sleeve on the 23rd July at Worcester Royal. The op went well and to plan. They looked after me really well and the team were awesome. I am so relieved it's all over and dusted. Let the hard work commence now!!

I was discharged today and so far so good. I have lots of meds and vitamins which I'm finding hard to take. They make me fee nauseas. Apparently this gets better with time. On the bright side the Clexane injections aren't too bad.

Just about managing to drink cuppa soups and hot chocolates for now. I will hopefully go onto protein shakes soon. I did try one today but it made me feel so sick. I think it was maybe too thick. It's going to take a while but it's all worth it!

Good night all xxx

Glad to hear it's allowing well. Hope the recovery is good for you.

Keep us posted bunny

Yay excellent that you are home Hun!

You can get into a bit of a routine now and sort things (ie eating and medication) in your own time and get sense of everything. Ref protein- I bought a large tub of syntrax nectar and 'my protein' unflavoured and I just can't drink it. I hate the protein smell, even in the unflavoured powder, can't seem to get passed it so I get it from food only now. I started off at around 25g of protein a day (once on puréed stage) and now 4weeks post op I'm on average 40-50g a day. So difficult to eat anymore than I am to try and get the protein goals. Hoping this will improve as time goes on. Hope you find it easier Violet.

Happy for you that you are finding the clexane injections okay. Each day that goes by, things seem to get easier and easier and you will settle in well.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on

Take care lovely
Xx

Ali :)

How different our surgeries were. I have only been sent home with paracetamol, codine and gaviscon type tablets. I take the gaviscon at 6pm cause it says I have to but otherwise I just have a house full on unused drugs.

Protein wise I am getting about 15g but I am aiming to up that today using protein shakes make with skimmed milk. 100ml will give me 14g so will aim for 2 of those ;)

Look after yourself violet onwards and downwards eh ;)

So glad it went well for you hun and am sure you'll be settled in to the new way of life soon :) will be reading both yours and the other Ali's diary to see how you get on in the run up to my surgery x

Morning all :)

I seem to have my mojo back!!

I had my acrylics put back on yesterday and that picked me up!! New hair doo next :)

Also, even though it's pouring down with rain, I have walked the dog and got the washing on the go.

Everything seems ok sleeve wise. I feel a bit nauseas now and then and I'm still only having very tlny amounts but hey ho.

I am quite worried because my swelling is quite bad and I was wondering if this is normal? I look seven months pregnant!!

I've been told to concentrate on the protein shakes a lot more and so I am aiming to have two today. Yesterday I only had half a shake.

It's the strangest feeling as I feel like my appetite is switched off. I feel absolutely full after a few sips!! Crazy but good!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Yes nothing beats a lush hot bath!!

I am hoping to get more in this week. I just feel so nauseated all the time. Even the antacids make me feel ill.
