If Santa could bring you one thing this christmas what would it be ?

My Dad has just been diagnosed with leukaemia. My brother has leukaemia too - a different type. Dad is currently in hospital in Glasgow and is on chemo. So far they can't seem to get his white cell count down. So my wish would be for him, and all other sufferers, to get well or to at least...

Feeling crap and dont care who knows...

I know all about the ungrateful adult children! And about having to fight for every little thing. But we ARE fighters, we have had to be over the years, and your turn for better days is coming. You're on your way. Trust that the things you do now are for yourself, because you have chosen to...

    tummy tuck and lipo

Glad to hear all's going so well for you, Sian. A lot of people HERE are open-mouthed at your amazing result! And this is only the beginning. Losing a large amount of weight is a real achievement. Unfortunately we are not always prepared for the loose skin problem. It can blight the...

    tummy tuck and lipo

I am BMI 27 now. What a joy! I intend to keep going until BMI of, say, 24/25 or less. But I no longer want to be skinny. I want to keep my boobs and hips! Why? Cos my ex - whom I still love - and other men love curves.

WOW. Amazing result, already! Fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing your story. I go for an initial consultation for TT on March 7th. I am so encouraged by your results so far I am starting to really hope that I will be granted NHS funding. Make sure you lie down whenever you need to - and...

Tummy tuck before and after photos here

Earlier today I watched a doucumentary I've seen before - about the Texan lady who had a whole body lift. She went through hell with pain, her sister died in an accident during this process, she adopted her sister's adorable little boy, and continued to battle to have her excess skin removed...

Tummy tuck before and after photos here

Wow and thank you for these posts. I too was once horrified by the post op scars. however I now realise that they fade. I mean, really fade. I can barely remember the time - not so long ago, really - when my waist and tum and hips looked so slim and smooth. Kinda makes one tearful. I am...

    countdown to my tummy tuck

Hi Sian! Wow that's a lot of money but from what I've read seems to be more or less average for a TT. I don't want to wait years... There HAS to be another way - lol. You must be getting very excited now. And a bit scared! But I've seen 'after' stories on tv and those lovely flat tums...

    countdown to my tummy tuck

Hi again. When you said 'agreed to pay after much begging...' etc, do you mean that the NHS agreed to fund your op, or that YOU agreed to pay? If you are paying, how much is it going to cost? A lot, I'll bet! xx

    countdown to my tummy tuck

I totally understand! The overhang is gross. When others say - being kind - that it really does not matter, I think, IT DOES. It does to me, and to my situation. I was once a very sexy woman. Now? Don't ask... My lower regions need help. Pure and simple! I would not like to wait for...

    countdown to my tummy tuck

Hi again. I know what you mean about the 'fat person'. I still feel like that. Getting funding is so, so difficult. I know of people who have been granted it. I think it probably depends on where you live in the UK. Isn't that truly sad? If I don't get the funding I will have to find an...

    countdown to my tummy tuck

Hi there. Sorry but I don't know the details of your tummy tuck situation. I really need one and have been recommended by my GP. I had an accident recently and had to cancel my original hospital appointment - the new one is March 7th. Have you been granted NHS funding, or are you going...

    Check out these TT pix

Don't get me wrong! My tum looks horrible and I would love a tummy tuck, but I fear that a massive scar would bug me. We are all so conscious of faults, real or imagined, in our bodies. But, sure, it's better than saggy wrinkled skin hanging down. My rear end and inner thighs and arms...

    Check out these TT pix

Only the post-lipo ones look really good. And scars have ridges, too, not just faint white lines (eventually). The ridges never go away. Hmmmm. Definitely food for thought. Hey - I look like some of the 'befores', too! That's the problem.
