I have had gallstones for many years now. Probably 2004 was the first attack I remember. They were not diagnosed until 2009 though.

I had an emergency umbilical hernia repair 2.5 weeks ago. My surgeon wouldn't do a hernia repair. Though the incision they done was on my hernia site and ended up in X-ray as it made it protrude after my op.
They said if my bowels were tangled, they may need to perform a sleeve, as it can be...

The nurses on my post op ward told me at 6ft 2 and 38/39 BMI I didn't look bariatric lol

She may have had something that WLS cures. Or a need to quickly get into a healthy BMI range. Like for a certain treatment etc. Talking off the top of my head lol
I did it on Exante. Lost good weight. My bf saw what happened when I came off it. It increased my gallstones and ended up in hospital for the night. He didn't want me to have surgery. But once he kept seeing me struggling, supported me 100%
And now he is so proud of me. Even more than he was...

I had the same worry. My BMI was 38/39 on my surgery date. Before I hit below 40, I asked my weight management team, and they said the more I can lose, the better for my op.
I lost around 6st pre op.

(((Hugs))) I hear every word babes. You have suffered for each and everyone of those pounds. Weight loss wise you are defo a high success. But of course, the journey has been far from as positive.
Really, really feel for you. I can't imagine having gone through the same xxx
