    Year and a half out....

Thank you for sharing this :) The long haul is difficult, isn't it, and the issues change quite a lot. It's good to read about other people who are a little way down the line too.

    cereal

I have always had trouble with cereals - I dump very easily. It's only recently that I'm starting to experiment with adding them into my diet again (14 months post op). I must admit I have missed them, but i have got used to eating eggs and cheese for breakfast instead these days and starting my...

    Question about the next phase

I never thought I would be asking questions like this, but I'd appreciate some input from those of you who are a reasonable way out from surgery. I'm 14 months post-op now and hit my target a while ago. I revised my target because I had a better understanding of what shape and size my body...

    Fat armpits v Skinny Armpits.........

I don't really recognise myself, even now. I do see my mother staring back at me from the mirror! I have had to get new glasses as my old ones were much too big and kept slipping down.

    Hello...

Hello and welcome! This is a great place to talk to people with a wealth of wide-ranging experience about WLS. I have recommended it to several people in the USA! I hope you enjoy it here - we're looking forward to hearing about your journey. Gill x

    6 week weigh in . . .

You're doing really well. The bikes sound a great idea. I keep thinking about running - I say thinking, not actually doing it! I have run on the treadmill at the gym, but it doesn't seem to hit the spot for me. Maybe I'll try on the beach first.

    Newbie

Hi Gaz Welcome. I hope you find lots of encouragement, information and experience here :) Cosmetic Bliss seem to have a very good reputation. It will be interesting to read your story as you get towards your op and take your place on the losers' bench.

    Fat armpits v Skinny Armpits.........

Oh, it's amazing what changes! I have no bum now. I had too much before, undoubtedly, but now I can't sit in a theatre on an an aeroplane for any length of time without discomfort. (I'm not really moaning :) )

    Excess Skin

Unfortunately, no amount of time in the gym (I actually do go 3 times a week, so this isn't an excuse ;) ) is going to put my saggy skin right. If anything, the toned underlying muscles make it more noticeable. Another issue for me is that my stomach muscles need repair, which will be done...

    Fat armpits v Skinny Armpits.........

I can so identify with this! It is such a little thing, but it's so difficult. I knew where I was with my convex armpits, but these concave ones are hard to manage. (Not that I'd go back... ;) )
